We are happy to give the “Companies That Care” spotlight this week to Art N Soul on 101, a local San Diego art gallery and hand-crafted gift boutique that supports local charities through the sales of fine art, crafts, jewelry, furniture and more.

Art N Soul on 101 is a gallery located in Encinitas with a passion for local artists and a commitment to social change. There are lamps crafted from plumbing parts and jewelry fashioned from colorful surfboard resin. Everywhere you look, there is something unique that catches your eye. The store is dedicated to the local community and all the items they sell in their store are hand-crafted original items created by local artisans. Art N Soul on 101’s mission is to support the “art of artists,” “the crafts of artisans” and “the local community” creating an atmosphere filled with inspiring gifts and original works of art! You can truly “feel” the happiness when you shop here!

100% of the store profits from Art N Soul on 101 are all donated to local charities and this company is a unique blend of art and social entrepreneurial ship. The staff is made up of all volunteers and together with the artist, they form a strong bond with customers in promoting a greater cause. Art N Soul on 101 proudly carries an authentic and eclectic array of art featuring local, regional and aspiring artists. There are colorful paintings, sculptures, jewelry, functional art and wearable creations. Art N Soul on 101 uses mediums that range from recycled to traditional art and has something for every age.

The idea and business model behind Art N Soul on 101 was to foster an inviting art setting where artists could be encouraged and promoted while benefiting community charities. Art N Soul on 101 was started in 2007 by Cindy Blumkin and Paige Perkins. Everyone who works for this company is a volunteer, including the owners! The philanthropic nature and community spirit of the store have made is very successful. Art N Soul on 101 donates to their four partnering charities: The Community Resource Center, The Store Front Shelter, A.R.T.S. and Guitars in the Classroom.
