We are happy to give the “Companies That Care” spotlight this week to Charity Wings, a 100% volunteer-run organization that raises money and awareness for noble causes.
Charity Wings Art & Craft Center is a place where people of all ages can gather, create and give back. You can also partner with other charities to give free classes to those who can benefit the most from all that art has to give. Through scrapbooking and crafting events, Charity Wings promotes creative opportunities for crafters to give to others in need.
Charity Wings started out as Scrapbook Royalty back in 2006 and was doing fundraising for other non-profits through events related to scrapbooking. In 2011, they changed their name to Charity Wings so that the organization could be available to all genres of art. In 2013, the Charity Wings Arts & Crafts Center opened its doors in San Marcos, CA and has been a huge hit ever since.
Here is what you get if you are a non-profit organization at Charity Wings:
The Charity Wings Art & Craft Center provides free art classes and events for your organization both onsite and online.
If you are part of the community, here is what Charity Wings offers you:
A new 6,000 square foot community Art & Craft Center that is open to anyone who wants to create. The open studio hosts ceramics, sewing, polymer clay, jewelry making, fiber arts, metalsmithing, kids area and mixed/multi media arts. There is also an event and party space available, plus so much more! There are classes, events and studio hours where the use of all the art supplies, tools and consumables are available to use. You are also welcome to bring in your own projects and use all of their supplies to finish your project! How cool is that? Charity Wings also provides private artist studios for rent.
There are no additional fees to use the supplies and tools at Charity Wings Art & Craft Center. You only pay the hourly open studio fees, which are $5 per hour or $20 for the day (for members).
Charity Wings has moved from solely fundraising for other organizations to now collaborating and partnering with them to further their missions through art and creativity. It is part of their mission to serve the disabled community, low income families, Military/Veterans and many more. Here are some of the non-profits that Charity Wings is working with:
Friends of Scott Foundation
Teri Campus of Life
The Friendship Circle
The Boys and Girls Club of San Marcos and Vista
Los Caballeros De Aventura
