This month, we are shining the spotlight on a great company in our “Companies That Care” segment. We are featuring Dogeared, a jewelry company whose pieces are locally handcrafted and all made in the USA. They also have partnered with non-profit organizations AND are a certified B-Corporation! Pretty cool!

How Dogeared Started

Dogeared is the brainchild of owner Marcia Maizel-Clarke, who started the company concept way back in 1991 in Southern California. Marcia believed that jewelry should be both meaningful and beautiful, and speak to the experiences, celebrations and milestones that each person has. The pieces from Dogeared each tell a story about self-expression, friendship, love, triumph and individuality. Marcia works to celebrate, connect and inspire each of her customers with simple and modern necklaces, earrings, rings, canvas tote bags and custom charms.

Dogeared’s Philosophy

The philosophy behind Dogeared is that good things happen. They also believe that what goes around comes around. Their products are all 100% handcrafted in the USA and share a vision of a better world. Dogeared has partnered with several non-profit organizations and is proud to be a part of a number of companies that are developing better business practices, working with dignity and purpose, using a business as a force for good and creating new ways to measure success. We love this philosophy!

Dogeared wants everyone who wears their products to celebrate life and live with meaning and compassion. This cool company strives for excellence in their products, as well as being influential individuals, partners and employees. They also want to create social and environmental change by giving back to their local community.
