This month, we are shining the spotlight on a great company in our “Companies That Care” segment. We are featuring GoodOnYa, a local San Diego deli and organic nutrition bar/sports drink company that is helping people stay healthy on the go, while giving back to the community.

GoodOnYa’s Mission

The mission of GoodOnYa is simple: Create real food products that are certified Organic and Non GMO Verified. This cool company helps educate people on the power of real food and offers valuable nutritional information. Their tagline, “every ingredient matters” is an integral part of the company and its values. They also give back to the community through various fundraisers and events.

GoodOnYa’s Standards

GoodOnYa only uses REAL food of the highest quality with no soy, dairy, gluten, sugar alcohols or protein isolates (yuck!). The products are all Gluten Free certified and made in a dedicated GF facility. This company doesn’t use trendy phrases such as “Low Salt” or “Low Fat” because it doesn’t have to! They don’t use any artificial sweeteners, colors, natural flavors, processed salts or unwanted calories. The minerals used in their GoodOnYa Hydrate Organic Sports Drink are sun dried from the Great Salt Lake and totally unprocessed so your body can absorb them.

The GoodOnYa Deli uses hand baked bread, minimally processed and totally natural meats, organic produce, organic raw milk and organic and/or Fair Trade Coffee. Their food is seriously delicious!!

GoodOnYa’s History

Kristen Buchanan started GoodOnYa as a deli in 2001. She was an Olympic athlete who realized that consuming hundreds of grams of sugar in sports drinks such as Gatorade and eating fast food was harming her body. She developed adult onset diabetes and was diagnosed with an autoimmune thyroid disease. It was then that she decided to change what she was eating and went back to school for holistic nutrition. She started GoodOnYa deli in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego in 2001 and served almost entirely organic and Non GMO food. GoodOnYa always uses local, fresh and healthy ingredients and the company has applied this same concept to their sports drinks and nutrition bars.

GoodOnYa as a B Corp

GoodOnYa is a B Corp Certified company that adds validity to their mission. Being B Corp Certified means the company is green, is an equal opportunity employer and supports local endeavors. GoodOnYa is honored to be a part of the B Corp and proud of this accomplishment. Here at Organik SEO, we are also proud to be B Corp Certified and the more companies that join, the better the world will be! By supporting companies that are B Corp Certified, you are supporting companies that care.

GoodOnYa is available all over the USA and will soon be available in Canada. If you don’t see them in your area they are working hard to get there! It always helps to contact your local health food store and ask if they’ll start carrying products you’d like to see on their shelves.

The GoodOnYa Deli is open Monday through Friday, from 6:30am – 4:00pm and serves local, organic breakfast & lunch offerings plus an espresso bar.
