UPDATE: Stone Brewing Co. was named among the top 50 craft and overall brewing companies in the U.S., according to a list released March 31, 2015 by the Brewers Association. Congratulations to the Stone team!

We are shining the spotlight on a great company this month in our “Companies That Care” segment. We are featuring Stone Brewing Co., the largest brewery in Southern California, headquartered in sunny Escondido.
Organic is the Way to Go at Stone Brewing
This world-class brewery chooses to use only organic ingredients for its beers and only in-season, local and organically grown produce for the mouth-watering food they serve. They also proudly use only 100% naturally raised meats. Their menu features an eclectic mix of cuisine that is inspired from all over the world and a very unique take on comfort food. Stone Brewing’s beers are ALL 100% high fructose corn syrup free and the company advocates environmental responsibility and high-quality food. We love this concept!
The founders of Stone Brewing, Greg Koch and Steve Wagner, have been involved with the Slow Food movement dating back to 2000. The concept promotes getting “back to the table” and celebrates a natural, old world approach to food, which they have incorporated into the brewery and restaurant. Stone Brewing is now the largest single restaurant purchaser of local, small farm organic produce in San Diego County and offers 36 craft beers on tap, along with a savory wine list and gorgeous wedding/party accommodations. Come for a meal or a pint and explore the beautiful grounds. There’s plenty of seating everywhere including an open air patio, a big interior, seating along the beautiful trails, cozy fire pits and a really cool one-acre organic beer garden.

Not only does this company believe in using the finest local ingredients, they also like to collaborate with other beer makers and share their ideas. Stone Brewing gives back to the community and strives to make a difference in San Diego by being involved with local charities and fundraisers as well.
